Children are born ready, able and eager to learn. They actively reach out to interact with other people, and in the world around them. Development is not an automatic process, however. It depends on each unique child having opportunities to interact in positive relationships and enabling environments. The baby room can accommodate up to 15 children aged around three months to two years. It is self contained room with air conditioning with a separate designated sleeping room as well as a large play area divided into zones.

In our baby room, all children are encouraged to learn through play and are given opportunities to explore through a wide range of experiences with plenty of adult encouragement as they grow tremendously in their first two years of life. They are given every chance we can to thrive, at a level and pace suited to their needs.

At Playtime we work hard to help our babies become aware of their own goals, make plans, and review their own progress and successes, even at such an early stage. We describe what you see them trying to do, and encourage children to become aware about their own processes and successes.

Our high ratio of staff to children ensures that your child receives expert care and attention as well as plenty of hugs and snuggles. With our three child to one adult ratio, this also allows us to allow our babies to take new strides and risks with safe boundaries, helping them to gain more and more independence and confidence, ready for when they take the next steps into the toddler room and beyond.
